LyndaJoy and I moved to Canyon Rim CG on the first of June which was considerably higher but right on the rim of this amazing Red Canyon.

After dinner on Friday night (6/1/19), I spoke with the manager, Stacy about performing. She brought me in on Saturday and a large table of WINs came and had dinner. That WINS were very engaged, singing along, and dancing on the tables! YIKES! 
I was planning to play another 30 minutes after they left around 6 o'clock, but the place filled up at 6:30, so I ended up staying until closing at 8PM. What a BLAST! One of the very BEST gigs I've ever had!

After LindaJoy and I had dinner at the Silver Dollar Bar on Thursday, we walked around downtown Jackson to check our some of the live music. We walked over to the Smokin' Iron Bar & Grill (Google indicated it was open) - it wasn't! There was a large sign in front - "Live Music auditions - Saturday at 1PM". I figured it would be fun just to do the audition, thinking it wouldn't amount to anything... and just keep on traveling with the WIN group. But... to my surprise... it turned into a gig for the season after performing on Saturday, their opening night! 

 So my travel plans have been significantly altered. I moved into town, staying at a place about 2 blocks from the Smokin' Iron Bar & Grill. I'm scheduled to perform every night from 6 to 10 PM through the end of the season in September. It's an outdoor venue that's very cool with fire pits and a relaxing fun atmosphere.

April Gigs & Getting Ready for the Next Journey

Finally sold the house! Everything seems to be falling into place. I might say "finally" falling into place, but... hey, maybe the time is just right. After closing on 7 homes in the last 3 weeks (mine included), I'm definitely ready to move on and hit the road. I've been living in the Lance 2295 since September making some small adjustments, acclimating to the smaller space (from 1344 sq ft to 176 sq ft), and planning for the next adventure.  In addition to home sales business, March was busy musically for me with 9 gigs, including 3 house concerts, a St Patrick's Day Party, a Spring Fling Dinner Party Concert, and a Park Fest at Palo Verde Park. What Happen in September?

Bend, OR at 5,500 feet I arrived at Wanoga Snow Play Area early, a couple days before the rest of the group arrived. Two enormous parking lots virtually empty... At over a mile high, the temperatures were not conducive to streaking at sunrise... or high noon... or sunset! DANG, it was freakin' COLD! Enjoyed dancing in Bend (about 15 miles east and down the mountain) and mountain biking (I can pretend) on my hybrid bike. There were some very serious mountain bike trails that I rode and it was a blast... except for the face plant I accomplished the first day! Crater Lake National Park McCloud, CA Burney Falls State Park I stayed here for one night ($28 YIKES!) on my way south toward Reno, NV. The falls were amazing and the park was pristine. California Finally!

Horton Creek Campground - Bishop CA I moved southward ahead of the WIN group arriving in Bishop at the end of September. The campground location was wonderful, about 10 miles out of town with magnificent views... The first rainless Rainbow I've ever seen... created by the moisture in the clouds rolling  over the mountain peaks. I went into Bishop after I got settled into the campground and got booked for a gig at Aaron Schat's Roadhouse Restaurant for Saturday night. A large group of WINs came to support me and to dance. This is a very dancing group! Over the 3 hours of singing songs, I performed a lot of my originals. Tuttle Creek Campground - Lone Pine CA The next day I headed to Tuttle Creek Campground... another amazing location with spectacular views of the mountains to the west and the valley to the east.
